Step 1a : Launch a keyword research
Make a list of potential keywords with which your target audience might be searching for you. So many keywords are difficult to think so let keyword country do that for you. Here is how you need to start-
- Start a keyword research from KC home page and enter keywords you want to base your research on.
- Set the number of results between 1500 to 3500 depending upon your topic.
- Click search to initiate.

- Sort the results by Estimated Traffic: Look for the competitors that are getting the maximum traffic.
- Checkout their traffic pulling pages: Click competitor names to open their profile and goto ‘Landing Page’ tab. This tab shows you exactly which landing pages are pulling how much traffic for your rival by ranking on what keywords.

Step 1c: Use PPC Analysis-
PPC analysis enlists all the top landing pages from where your competitors are driving sales / leads / conversions / commissions. Its important to monitor these pages to know what changes they are making to boost revenues and why.

When KC is done with analyzing your competitors in PPC space:
- Sort the results by Estimated Traffic: Look for the competitors that are pulling maximum paid traffic.
- Checkout their main landing pages: Click competitor names to open their profile and goto ‘Landing Page’ tab. This tab shows you exactly which landing pages are getting highly advertised by your competitors and on what keywords.

Step 2 : Enlist all their important pages
To know the secrets of traffic and conversions of your competitor, set a PageSpy alert on all the landing pages that you got from SEO analysis and PPC analysis in Step 1.

Step 3 : Setting alert in Page Spy
- Launch Page Spy module : This can be launched from Keyword Country software homepage.
- Click ‘Add Website Alerts’ button to enter the URLs of your competitors that you had listed in the step 2 and set the duration of crawling (Duration decides how often do you wish to check your competitor pages for changes)
- Click ‘Set Alert’ to finalize the changes.
- Click ‘Send alert to’ :You may change (or add more) e-mail addresses where you want to be notified of the changes made by your competitors.
Step 4 : Reading reports
What all is shown in the Alerts table-
Changes detected : Whether any changes are there or not in your competitor pages.
Alert type : You can view and change the alert type for any particular domain. You can get notified about the changes in your rival pages immediately, daily, weekly or on a monthly basis.
Last crawled : The date when the website was last crawled i.e. compared with the last saved version.
You can edit the monitoring duration or deleted the alert if required.

How to see the changes on the page-
Click on the URL to see the changed detected in the same. The page would be highlighted with green, red or yellow colors to denote various kinds of changes. These are as follows-
Green-
All the content highlighted with green has been added new.
Crossed with red -
Content that has been removed since the last check gets crossed with red color.
Yellow-
The words highlighted in yellow have undergone slight changes like synonyms added, date modified, change/ addition of few words and so on.

Tip for the user :
Changes which are done over a particular time can be checked by clicking on ‘Changes detected in period’
